River Edge Schools will be on a delayed opening schedule for Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Due to the severity of the snowfall and early morning staffing concerns, there will be no before-care available.
Our grounds crew has been working to clear campuses for a 10 am start tomorrow.
The River Edge DPW worked hard to get the roads cleared, and believes they can have the corners cleared in time to support a delayed opening as well.

The River Edge Board of Education has revised the 2025–26 district calendar. There are two changes:
• Wed, September 24: Schools are closed
• If 3 (or more) emergency days are used, then Mon, June 22, 2026 becomes a school day with early dismissal.

Congratulations to our 6th-grade students who completed amazing Shark Tank projects! 🦈👏 This project is a culmination of the 6th-grade Social Studies unit connected to the economy. Students learn about market research, data collection and analysis, cost and revenue projections, and presentation skills. Class and school competitions were held, and we now have one winner from Cherry Hill School and one winner from Roosevelt School.
Next up, the District Finals! Cherry Hill and Roosevelt winners will present their innovative products to River Edge community members. The creativity, teamwork, and effort displayed by our students were inspiring. We are incredibly proud of our 6th graders! 🌟💡 #SharkTank #FutureEntrepreneurs #SocialStudies #RiverEdgePublicSchools
