Grades K-6 Registration

For entry into Kindergarten: Child must be five (5) years old by October 1, 2026.

STEP 1

STEP 2

• Click here to input information registration information.

• Pay close attention to the instructions on the top of each page.

• Guardian 1 will be considered the primary contact for your child.

• At least (3) emergency contacts (other than the parents/guardians) are requested at this time.

• List your cell phone as your primary phone number

• Print out the confirmation page with barcode. KEEP THIS PAGE and bring it with you the day you register.

STEP 3

Organize your documents using the Registration Checklist. Click here to download the checklist. All documents MUST be original

If you reside in River Edge but do not own the home, the owner of the residence must complete a notarized affidavit attesting that you reside at that residence on a full-time basis. Both the owner and registration applicant must provide three (3) proofs of address. The owner must provide a deed or property tax bill.

STEP 4

Please complete the forms below:

• Home Language Survey - Google Form - please be sure to submit

• Affidavit of Residency - Download, print, and complete

• Health History Form - Download, print, and complete

• Student Physical Form (including immunizations-physician's generic immunization form is acceptable) - Download, print, and complete

• Request for Transfer of Student Records (only for students transferring from another school) - Download, print, and complete

STEP 5

Once you have completed all of the above, Email all forms to Registrar Cindy Sherlock, sherlockc@riveredgeschools.org, with the birth certificate and all documents/forms from Step 4 to review.

• Roosevelt - 3/24/2026 from 1:30pm-3:30pm at Roosevelt - No appointment needed

• Cherry Hill - 3/26/2026 from 1:30pm-3:30pm at Cherry Hill - No appointment needed

• Both Schools- 3/27/2026 from 9:30am-11:00am and 1:00pm-2:30pm
